Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at robert@laseritcreationz.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Because the possibilities for laser engraving are virtually endless, I can only showcase a small fraction of what’s possible online. If you have a specific material or unique item in mind, I’d love to hear about it!

Please head over to my "Contact Page" and send over a description of your project. I’ll get back to you shortly so we can collaborate on a custom design and provide you with an accurate quote.

While my website lists standard pricing for common items, truly custom projects are priced individually based on the material, design complexity, and time involved. Most custom orders also include a one-time file setup fee. This covers the essential digital "prep work"—like cleaning up images and fine-tuning settings—to ensure your design translates as good as it possibly can to the final engraving.

I aim to have standard orders and small quantities ready within 3 to 5 business days. If you’re looking for a large bulk order or a highly detailed custom piece, I’ll provide you with a specific timeline once we’ve discussed the details.

Yes, photos can be engraved on various materials. For best results, the image should be at least 600 dpi.  The higher the resolution, the better the quality.

Vector files such as .svg are preferred for the highest quality. But I can also accept high-resolution bitmap files like .png, .jpg, and .pdf (typically 300 dpi or higher).

While the list of engravable materials is vast, not everything is suitable for laser work. Because many materials are natural or unique, they may also react differently and produce varying results each time.

I typically work with wood, glass, slate, aluminum, brass, and stainless steel. Other materials that can generally be engraved include leather, paper, cardboard, dark acrylics, titanium, gold, silver, ABS, carbon fiber, ceramics, and some colored plastics.

If you have a specific material in mind, please Contact Me so we can discuss its compatibility and the specific look you’re aiming for.

Almost any type of glassware can be etched, including wine glasses, beer mugs, shot glasses, and even decorative glass objects like vases or mirrors.

No order is too small! I’m a small business that thrives on one-of-a-kind projects. Whether you need a single custom item or a large bulk order, I’m happy to help.

While most orders proceed directly to production, I provide digital proofs for high-end or highly customized items. However, I am always happy to send one for your approval to ensure the design meets your expectations before engraving if you request it.

Requests to engrave personal items are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. While discussing the possibilities is welcome, please keep in mind that engraving unknown materials carries inherent risks. This is particularly important for high-value items such as jewelry. A consultation can help determine if the item is a good candidate for the process.

I utilize two advanced laser systems to ensure the best results for every material. My setup includes a versatile machine with interchangeable 22W Blue Diode and 1W Infrared lasers, complemented by a second machine featuring integrated 20W Blue Diode and 20W Fiber modules. This variety allows me to switch between high-power cutting and high-detail engraving on almost any surface.

Yes, laser engraving is a permanent marking method that is highly durable and will not fade or wear off over time.

While engraving depth is influenced by several factors—including material density and laser settings—the process typically removes only the surface layer to create your design. For those looking for more dimension, certain items can also be relief engraved or embossed, which uses varied depths to create a striking 3D effect.
